Patient transport tables, mobile with side guards
These mobile examination tables with side guards from AGA Sanitätsartikel have been specially developed for safer patient transport and can therefore be used in many fields, for example as recovery tables.
They are available in four configurations with lacquered and chrome-plated frames as well as upholstery widths of 650 mm and 800 mm.
To better accomodate the various body sizes of the users and the various possible applications, these patient transport tables are also available at no extra charge in the heights of 650 mm, 700 mm, 750 mm and 800 mm.
Features
The examination tables with continuous headrest adjustment are also the base model for these mobile examination tables with side rails.
- They are available in two widths:
- Wdith 650 mm, Article No.: AWL-1065 and AWL-2065,
- Width 800 mm, Article No.: AWL-1080 and AWL-2080.
- The patient transport tables are equipped with castors, Ø 75 mm. A set consists of four swivel castors, two of which can be completely locked in rotation and running directions.
- Two side guards are included in the scope of delivery of these recovery tables for safer patient transport. The side guards, dimensions approx. 800 x 250 mm (L x H), can be lowered to upholstery height using a pivot mechanism and locked in place using spring-loaded handwheels with fixing bolts. Please take into account the complete table widths including the side guards:
- 795 mm, Article No.: AWL-1065 and AWL-2065,
- 975 mm, Article No.: AWL-1080 and AWL-2080.
- The stability and robustness is achieved by the gusset plates in the frame corners and the cross braces between the table legs.
- The tubular steel frames of the patient transport tables are made of blank steel:
- Lacquered, Article No.: AWL-1065 and AWL-1080,
- Chrome-plated, Article No.: AWL-2065 and AWL-2080.
- The thickness of each of the two upholstery sections (headrest and main surface) is 64 mm.
- If no height is specified when placing the order, the patient transport tables will be delivered with a height of 650 mm (also available in heights of 700, 750 and 800 mm at no extra charge).
- The headrest can be adjusted continuously up to +40°. It is locked using a clamping handle and a clamping rod mechanism.

The standard configuration includes:
- A set of castors, consisting of four swivel castors, Ø 75 mm, two of which can be locked.
- Two side guards, dimensions 800 x 250 mm (L x H). So that these patient transport tables can be used from both sides, the side guards can be adjusted, pointing upwards or downwards, with a simple pivot mechanism and fixed with spring-loaded handwheels.
We offer the coloured lacquer coating of the frames as standard in the following three shades (see frame colour selection card):
- light grey (RAL 7035)
- white aluminum (RAL 9006)
- pure white (RAL 9010).
The high quality finish has a glossy look. It is disinfectant resistant and easy to clean.
Other colours are of course also available. Please let us know the desired RAL colour so that we can find out the corresponding additional costs. Please note, however, that these products are then considered type variants with no right of return.
The artificial leather covers we use are characterized by their tear resistance, durability, longevity and their good cleaning properties as well as their resistance to disinfectants.
We use a (colour) selection from the synthetic leather covers VOWAled Pisa (Vowalon). The colour selection card can be found here.
In addition, we offer you the service of manufacturing the upholstery in other colours or from other synthetic leather manufacturers (type variant). After prior agreement, please send us the relevant references.
The black electrically conductive synthetic leather cover (with equipotential bonding socket on the frame) is available at an additional cost. It is already included in the price of the operating tables and multifunction tables.

The accessory components mentioned above are just a small excerpt. The following accessories are also available: castors with larger Ø, mobile base with central locking system, surgical standard rails in various lengths, push handles, all-around edge/impact protection, wall deflector rings in the four corners of the table, positioning aids, headrest adjustment via gas pressure spring, face cutout in the upholstered headrest and padded insert for closing.
