Blood donations chairs and dialysis chairs
The blood donations chairs and dialysis chairs are used in the transfusion or infusion area. Both lounge chair variants are equipped with adjustment options for the shock position.
Blood donations chairs and dialysis chairs with shock position adjustment
A blood donation is usually completed after about a quarter of an hour. What plays a more important role here is the time factor needed to bring collapsing patients into shock. An unconscious patient who cannot change his sitting or arm positions must be quickly brought into the shock position.
For this reason, faster shock position adjustment using a gas pressure spring is preferred over electric motor adjustment.
On the blood donation chair from AGA Sanitätsartikel, the adjustment of the entire upholstered frame, including the two armrests fixed with fastening clamps, is carried out using a gas pressure spring triggered via a foot lever located under the leg section on the floor frame and easily accessible from three sides.
Dialysis is a very time-consuming type of blood purification. It usually lasts several hours. The padding of the dialysis chair is therefore designed to be more comfortable. The electric motor for tilt adjustment can be controlled using the hand switch. During dialysis, the patients can select and change their lying/sitting position using the hand switch, even into the shock position. They do not need to correct their sitting or arm positions, as the two armrests are fixed to the upholstery frame with fastening clamps and, like the blood donation chair above, are moved automatically.
To prevent calf muscle cramps, the dialysis lounge chair comes with a relaxation footrest, which can be adjusted by grid to the patient's height or leg length. The patients can brace their feet against it if necessary.
Features
- The armrests can be adjusted and fixed in height, inclination and direction of rotation and thus optimally adapted to the arm position of the donor or patient.
- The base frame, equipped with leveling feet, ensures a secure stand.
- The shock- and scratch-resistant covers on the column and base frame, like all other components, are easy to clean and kept hygienically clean.
- The upholstery thicknesses of the three segments are:
- 64 mm for the blood donation chair, Article No.: BSL-1065/G,
- 90 mm for the dialysis chair, Article No.: DLS-1065/E.
- The maintenance-free and extremely quiet electric drive used in the dialysis chair is controlled via a hand switch (alternatively - at no extra charge - via a foot switch). The adjustment system is equipped with a key lock. Connection values per motor: 230V, 50/60 Hz., 3.7A, 850W, IPX4, v=11mm/s, 10,000N.
- Should calf muscle cramps occur, patients can brace themselves against the footboard that is included with the dialysis chair. The footrest can be adjusted by grid to the patient's body size or leg length.

The standard configuration includes:
- A pair of armrests that can be adjusted and fixed in height, inclination and direction of rotation.
- A pair of fastening clamps.
- A base frame with leveling feet.
- A relaxation footboard (only for DLS-1065/E).
We offer the coloured lacquer coating of the frames as standard in the following three shades (see frame colour selection card):
- light grey (RAL 7035)
- white aluminum (RAL 9006)
- pure white (RAL 9010).
The high quality finish has a glossy look. It is disinfectant resistant and easy to clean.
Other colours are of course also available. Please let us know the desired RAL colour so that we can find out the corresponding additional costs. Please note, however, that these products are then considered type variants with no right of return.
The artificial leather covers we use are characterized by their tear resistance, durability, longevity and their good cleaning properties as well as their resistance to disinfectants.
We use a (colour) selection from the synthetic leather covers VOWAled Pisa (Vowalon). The colour selection card can be found here.
In addition, we offer you the service of manufacturing the upholstery in other colours or from other synthetic leather manufacturers (type variant). After prior agreement, please send us the relevant references.
The black electrically conductive synthetic leather cover (with equipotential bonding socket on the frame) is available at an additional cost. It is already included in the price of the operating tables and multifunction tables.
